Perhaps you've had past failures or have made mistakes in the past, who hasn't? I heard this statement one time, "There's a reason why the rear-view mirror in a car is the size it is compared to the size of the windshield." Let's keep the right perspective about our past. Your past never has to determine your destiny. Where you've been is important, but only as a reference point to give testimony to your victory in Christ, as HE changes you from Glory to Glory. It doesn't matter what you've done or what you haven't done. All that matters is that He has a plan and a purpose for you. Jeremiah 29:11. It is never too late to start again. This is the first day of the rest of your life
1) Break the barrier of failure by recognizing that you have failed. Admit it to yourself, others and God. It's easy to live in denial and convince yourself that you're okay and everything's all right.
2) Repent: That means you've got to stop and change direction. There has to be an honest repentance. James 4:8 says "draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
3) Begin walking in the right direction and you will see breakthrough. Turn away from those things that got you into trouble in the first place.
4) If it is a relationship issue with your spouse or friend, reconciliation will need to be restored. In order for the relationship to be healed, forgiveness and trust have to develop and that will take time. It didn't get to this place overnight, and it won't go away because you say I'm sorry. Time is a healer!
You will need to work at rebuilding that connection.
Don't settle for defeat and believe the voice inside your head that lies,
saying 'this is just the way my life is going to be'.
Remember that you have a purpose and a destiny,
make the decision to go after them!
