Most of us understand the team concept where we make the baseball team and the coach assigns a certain position to us and then it is our responsibility to show up for practice and improve our skills to become an effective team player. Our coaches job is to teach and train us to be in position when the ball is thrown our way. If we're not in position to catch it, it can make the difference between winning or losing.
Many times over the years I've seen so many Christians asking for God's wisdom in an area and yet they are not positioning themselves to receive the answer when it comes there way.
Why do I say that? To position ourselves to receive ALL that God has for us means we have to be in a place to hear what the Spirit of God is saying, at the time He is saying it. The Holy Spirit is like an umpire and if we let Him, He will call the shots and will lead and direct our steps so that we are in position to receive when He speaks.
Over the past 30 years our family have had so many answered prayers and I believe one of the reasons is because we made a decision to position ourselves under the leading of the Holy Spirit and have allowed Him to be first place, obeying Him as much as possible in our lives.
How did we position ourselves? We first made a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and asked Him to come in and lead and direct our lives. Secondly, we wholeheartedly and faithfully went to a bible believing, Spirit led church, where we heard the anointed Word of God preached and the gifts of the spirit welcomed. It was during these services that many of our answers were released to us because the bible says that faith comes, by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Many prophesies were given to us individually over that time and they confirmed what was already in our hearts to do and what the Lord was directing, if we would trust and obey Him . Thirdly, we decided to serve the Lord wherever needed and use our God given gifts to be a hand up and an encouragement to others.
Fully committing our life and being consistent in believing God and His Word has and will continue to keep us in a place of faith and expectation.
His promise to all of us through Abraham was, "If you'll walk with Me by faith, I'll bless you and your seed and make you a blessing to all the families of the earth.
GOD IS FAITHFUL TO HIS PROMISES!
