There is no better time than NOW to STOP and EVALUATE where you are in you're life and where you want to be in your future.
I love the fall season as it tends to bring us into a time of re-focusing and getting our lives back on track and into some sort of routine.
In the Bible, there is a story about two blind men, that had heard that Jesus was passing by, so they cried out "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us", the disciples saw it as a human interruption, but Jesus saw it as a divine appointment. So He stops and responds with a pointed question:
WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU?
When I read this I thought, seriously, is that question even necessary? Isn't it obvious what they wanted? They're blind, yet Jesus forced them to define exactly what they wanted from Him. Jesus made them verbalized their desire. He wanted to make sure they knew what they wanted. FOCUS IN ON SPECIFICS! When I was the Director of the Pregnancy Center the ladies would come in and share their personal stories with me and afterwards I thought, "Oh, they probably want me to help them with their relationship issues, or they probably want me to help them with a financial budget." When I asked them what it was that they wanted, they would say, "I want diapers, formula, and a baby food etc." You and I can't assume to know what people want before we ask them. What is obvious to us, is not obvious to them, sometime they are just thinking of their immediate need.
What do you want Jesus to do for you?
Define it, Verbalized it.
I don't think we are much different than a horse, we need blinders on the sides of our eyes, because there are so many distractions around us and voices pulling us in so many directions that we can get thrown off course.
Sometimes it's the dumb stuff that distracts us - I'm talking about big time wasters like worrying, idle talk, getting angry about things we can't control, trying to change people, and expecting to never be hurt or disappointed by others. It's all just a useless waste of your time and energy. Prov. 4:25-27 says : Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the left or the right, keep your foot from evil.
REMEMBER: The plan and strategy of the enemy is to get you off your focus so you will never fulfill God's plan for your life.
GOD'S PLAN is that you and I would get focused on what is important to HIM so we can fulfill HIS plan for our life!
